Mother's Day

I had a really great Mother's Day! My kids made me such special, sweet gifts and I loved them so much!

Luke came home from school Friday with his present for me hidden in his backpack but was too excited to wait until Sunday to give it to me. He was so excited and asked if he could give it to me then. So of course I said yes. He was so excited and proud of his gift, it was so sweet.

This is the envelope it was in

There was this question and answer sheet he had filled out about me. So cute.

Then this card he made.

It melted my heart. So sweet!

It was a good day! I feel so blessed to be a mom and lucky to have these sweet kids as mine! It's the best job in the world!

Yoda

I heard Luke sneaking out of his room last night at about 9:30 and asked what he was doing. "I have to get some paper and markers to draw the Jedi masters, I just can't get them off my mind!" Then this morning I found this on his nightstand. Is that not the cutest Yoda you've ever seen? 😊

A treasure

Luke came home from school a couple days ago and gave me this macoroni necklace he had made for me. He was very proud to show me and give it to me.  I wore it all afternoon- to his music class, to drop something off to a lady I visit and teach, and at a church meeting. I love it! I love my sweet boy.

An incriminating note

This morning I overheard Luke and Halle talking about how rich Grandpa Dave is. I think this comes from a jar of change Dixie and Dave have in their bedroom closet. The kids gawk at it all the time. So a little while later, after I had dropped Luke off at Kindergarten, I found this incriminating note they left on the table.

I guess it's time for a family night lesson on why it's definitely NOT okay to steal! :)

Stylin

Luke stylin at Cory's cousin's wedding reception last night. We got there and he had no shoes on. I'm pretty sure he would go barefoot all the time if I let him. Luckily...his rain boots were in the car :).

Parent teacher conferences - smart boy!

We had parent teacher conferences for Luke this week. It was a lot of fun for Mommy and Daddy and Halle to go with Luke and hear from his teacher about how well he is doing, what a smart boy he is, and how he is such a good student! Luke was very proud of himself and was excited to take us to parent teacher conferences all day. He is ahead in every category and got perfect scores all around. What a smart boy. We are so proud of our boy and so grateful he loves school and works so hard at it!
