Fireworks
The other night we went and watched fireworks at Cory's cousin's house on the 24th. Luke liked the little ones, but once they brought out the big illegal loud ones Luke was not a happy camper! He didn't mind watching them from inside where it wasn't as noisy though.
Big Boy
Luke sure is growing up fast. Here are some of the big boy things he is doing lately.
JUMPING! He loves to jump! I took this picture after he had been jumping. He gets so proud of himself when he does it. It started out that he would barely get his feet off the floor but now he is full on jumping around and he loves to show off doing it.
He likes to stand on his head...
BRUSHING TEETH! He hates when we do it for him, he has to do it himself! I also gave him a haircut the night I took this picture...it's pretty short!
SAYING PRAYERS...he loves prayer time. When we say "dinnertime" he folds his arms and always reminds us that we need to say a prayer on the food. Then as we're getting him ready for bed at night after we brush teeth and before reading stories it is prayer time. This is a very important part of his routine! He gets on his knees and pats them until we get on our knees with him. Cory and I take turns saying it and usually Luke is really good about folding his arms and he smiles the whole time! It's so cute.
Splish Splash
Luke loves to play in this little pool I got him, we spend lots of time in the backyard on hot afternoons playing in this.
Daddy's Birthday
We got Cory a softball bat for his birthday. I think it was a good choice!
Then we ate cake...yum!

Cousin's Camp 2009
This year the Ferguson Family Cousin's Camp was held at Cherry Hill. It was lots of fun. During the day Friday Luke and I went to the waterpark with Dave and Dixie. Cory got there after work him and his dad went on the tube waterslide and were laughing so hard, it was way funny. Luke and I watched and we got some good pictures. Then Cory insisted on taking Luke on one of the big waterslides with him. Poor Luke didn't know what to think! Cory took him on it twice, the first time Luke wasn't too scared, but by the second time I think he had been slashed enough that he was done with it. But he likes to look at the pictures now and laugh.

4th of July weekend in Park City
Every year Cory's family comes up to stay in Park City over the 4th of July weekend. We stay at the Canyons Resort. Luke had lots of fun swimming in the pool, riding the gondola, and playing with his grandma and grandpa Ferguson and aunt Jamie and uncle Jason and Kyle.
Luke riding the gondola with Grandpa Dave and the kids. He loved this thing and every time we would walk outside and see it he would point to it and get all excited.
Lake Owyhee Boating Trip
This is our third year going to Lake Owyhee. It is a hidden treasure, not a lot of people know about it so there aren't a lot of boats out on the lake and it is smooth water most of the time. I was a little nervous taking a one and a half year old and also being pregnant. But Luke actually did really well and got into a lot less trouble than I thought he would! I was worried he'd constantly be wandering off from the camp site and tripping in the dirt hurting himself, but he actually stuck around our site really well and only had one fall towards the end where he scraped his knee, but it wasn't too bad.
He loves it outside so I knew he would have fun. I think he would be content living in a TeePee full time. His favorite blanky and stuffed animal doggie Sophie were both black by the end of the trip from him dragging them around in the dirt, but a little dirt never hurt anyone! Luke had a lot of fun and just LOVES the boat. Every morning when we'd wake up and get out of our TeePee he would point to the boat and say "bo bo, bo bo!" (that's his version of "boat"). It was really cute. He has a little toy boat that we took and he loved to play with it there and still does and he makes the boat noise with his lips and makes it move through the air. He just loves the outdoors and had lots of fun all around.
