Potty training success!

Luke is doing great with potty training. When I started potty training him after his birthday when he turned three he had times where he would do really good and times where he would be back in diapers. A lot of it was probably my fault in that I was never very strict about it. But finally in June I decided it was time for no more diapers at all. So we made a potty chart. I told Luke he could earn anything he wanted and once the chart was full he could get it. So, he decided he wanted a trip to St. George to visit Grandma and Grandpa Dixie. And, he did really good at the chart and had way fewer accidents after that.
So he finished filling up the chart and perfect timing, we were already planning on going down to St. George this weekend. So I told him, only four more days!

He's still had a couple accidents here and there, but not very many at all. The other day he had a potty accident, I could tell it was just because he didn't want to take the time to stop playing and go to the bathroom. So after cleaning up I told him he is a big boy and needs to try to always remember to stop playing to use the potty. He looked at me so seriously and said "Mommy, you should never give up." Haha, what a funny boy. He is such a cutie.
