A couple of cuties

Luke has so much energy and doesn't want to sit still for anything. I felt like I didn't have any good pictures of him of him lately just looking at the camera because usually he doesn't want to stop to take a picture. It was a nice day so I decided to get some pictures of both the kids. I got some of Halle but didn't get any of Luke until later in the evening when we went to my friend's house for dinner. When we got him out of the car he ran straight for her backyard so I ran after him with my camera still wanting to get a good pic. The grass was still a little snowy and wet and there was a small hill, so as I was chasing him down the hill I slipped all the way down the hill and fell and got my brand new pants I had just gotten the day before all muddy! Cory was watching all this laughing. I didn't get any pictures of the kids together but at least I got a couple cute ones of both of them individually.

Here are some of Halle. Luke is such a good big brother to his little sister. I've been surprised at how he really never takes his frustrations out on her and is never mean to her, even when he is tired. He always gives her hugs and kisses and constantly talks about his "baby".

Boo & Monsters

I tried to get Luke to look at the camera but he was too into his new favorite movie "Boo" (aka "Monsters Inc." - he calls it Boo because that is the little girl's name in it and he LOVES her!)
With this love for Boo and Monsters, a couple days in a row he woke up way too early (5:00am and 6:00am) and wouldn't go back to bed, he wanted to watch Boo! Both days I tried to get him to lay back down, but after a few minutes of this and no success I gave in and plopped him on the couch, turned on Boo, gave him some juice in his sippy, and went back to bed! He came and woke me up both mornings when Boo was over and by that time Halle and me were ready to wake up. After two days in a row of this I was starting to get worried this would turn into a daily occurance, but luckily so far it hasn't happened since!

Fat lip

Poor Luke fell twice yesterday, resulting in a fat lip. It was a tough day, he missed his nap so he was having a hard time. The first fall happened when he tripped over his blanket and hurt his lip on the inside (it was black and blue) and a few minutes later he fell backwards over and must have bit his lip because it was bleeding pretty bad. There was quite a bit of blood but he didn't cry near as much as I thought he would, until it was dinnertime and the salt off the chicken got in the cut! Poor guy, he was so upset and it hurt so bad! I took this picture of him once we got him settled down (he loves these Santa jammies still and calls them his "ho hos"). Hopefully it heals soon. I felt so bad when he was trying to eat and it kept hurting him. I tried to explain to him to chew on the other side of his mouth but it was a little hard for him to understand. Poor guy! This side of his lip is usually already swollen a little bit because he sucks on his lip and this is the side he sucks..so it looks double swollen!

Juicety!

Luke loves juice, it's by far his favorite drink. He usually says "mama thirsty juice" when he wants some juice. But in the last week or so he has started combining thirsty and juice and saying "juicety" when he wants juice..."mama juicety"! I guess he knows how to get what he wants quicker other than having to say both words! The funny thing is I knew exactly what he was saying and what he had done with his combining of words when he said it the first time. So for now, we have the same word for thirsty and juice (since juice is about all he wants these days anyway)... juicety!

This n thats

Luke LOVES to watch our wedding video! (This time he is enjoying it while sitting in his shopping cart he got for his birthday)
Luke loves to line up his cars like a train. This time the condiments from his shopping cart made it in the line up.

Another Lukey line up
One day Luke had an extra mischievous day and while I was on the phone he was in his room quietly playing (or so I thought), then he ran into the kitchen where i was and yelled excitedly "mommy, dust!" (he calls baby powder dust). Then he pointed back to where his room is and ran back. So I followed his back there and saw that he had turned his book basket upside down and used it to climb on top of his changing table to get the baby powder (it was one of those huge bottle ones) and poured all over the room! It was EVERYWHERE, and the whole room was like a cloud of powder! He was so proud! My first reaction... get the camera! Luckily it was baby powder and not some food item.

Luke got some tents from my mom and dad for his birthday and likes to hang out in them. This time Cory put Halle in there with him and he loved it! They are already such little budies. It is so cute how Luke loves to include her in things.
