Sweet boy

Luke bought a white board with his own money and has loved writing on it and playing with it over the last couple days. The other night I went in his room to read and tuck him in and he had written me a special message on his board:

So sweet. Love my boy!

Bowling!

These two finally filled up their warm fuzzy jar (aka good behavior jar) and earned their goal of going bowling. It was a fun Saturday morning activity with our oldest two. Love these little sillies!

Loyal pooch

I've been a little frustrated with this pooch lately...barking and waking up the babies after I spend a half hour getting them down, running out the front door so I have to chase her down the street in my pjs, jumping on the table eating food off uncleared dishes, the list goes on! But then something like this happens and I think...aw, I guess she is pretty cute. Halle's been sick so I let her sleep in and Milly has been beside herself pacing and standing outside Halle's door all morning waiting for her to come out! She loves Luke and Halle. Then at Luke's parent teacher conference last week the teachers showed me some writing assignments he had done and more than half of them were about Milly and how your dog always loves you no matter what. And a couple days ago Asher was inside sleeping in his bouncer chair and Cory was outside holding Avery and Millu was out there and he heard Asher start to cry inside and Milly looked up at Cory and then raced in the house. When Cory got in Milly was standing next to Asher like she was there to comfort him and then leaned over and licked his face (kind of gross but cute at the same time!) And then I remember..oh yeah, this is why we have a dog! I guess we'll have to keep her. Don't ask me tomorrow though...that could be a different story! ;)

3 months old!

These cute twinners are three months old today! Time sure flies when you are having fun! Their little personalities are starting to come out, they are starting to sleep a little better at night, and mommy is starting to feel like a normal person again! They are so sweet and cute and fun and we couldn't love them more!

Dinosaur tail

On Saturday Luke spent most of the day digging up a "dinosaur tail" in the empty lot across the street. He was so excited he found it and worked very hard digging! He decided if anyone was interested he'd sell it for $1000 dollars (a great deal for a real dinosaur fossil he says) or he show it to someone for $100.

Green eggs and ham dinner #2

Our second green eggs and ham dinner in the past week. The kids had their friends Brennan and Elise from next door over for it tonight. "I like green eggs and ham! I do, I like them Sam I am!"

Green Eggs and Ham dinner

Grandma Dixie has been staying with us for the past few days helping with the babies. Last night, Sunday night, Grandpa Dave, Booie and Will, and Kyle drove up to stay for a couple nights. Luke and Halle were so excited for them to come.

A few days earlier we had gotten a box set if Dr Seuss books and the kids LOVE the book Green Eggs and Ham. It was Dr Seuss week at school so both kids had been talking about Dr Seuss all week. Luke loves the book so much that right after the books got delivered to us he took the book out and read it all on his own all the way through without me even asking him to or encouraging him along. He's grown into such a good reader! Then Luke and Halle took the books and started making up all sorts of fun games with them.

Because of the book, all weekend the kids wanted to have green eggs and ham to eat. Grandma Dixie had already brought up a big ham to have for Sunday dinner for when all the others got here, so we told the kids we could make green eggs to have with it and have a green eggs and ham.

The kids were so exited for our green eggs and ham dinner. Halle got the table all set up with flowers at each persons spot. Luke decided he would read the book Green Eggs and Ham out loud while everyone ate. So everyone got here and we had our green eggs and ham dinner. Everyone was very impressed with Halle's lovely table decorating and Luke's brilliant story reading, and of course, everyone loved the green eggs and ham.

Star Wars love

It's the second night in a row that Luke let Halle borrow his Darth Vader pj shirt.  That's true love :).

Class picture

Luke got his class picture back a couple weeks ago and has loved looking at it. He even wanted me to copy it off with colored paper so he could cut our the kids' pictures in his class, which he did, and he made a paper with columns for BFF (best friend forever), BF (best friend), F (friend), T (teacher), N (none), E (enemy) and C (crush). He hasn't quite gotten all of the pictures categorized yet but it's an ongoing project :).

Luke's seasons

I thought this art project of the four seasons Luke made at school was really cute and good drawings. I especially love the picture of himself. We had this hanging on out pantry door for about a month.

King Luke

Both Luke and Halle did some fun Presidents Day projects we've had hanging in our kitchen the past few weeks since Presidents Day.

Luke's says:
If I were President...
 "Be King Luke"

Luke's been really into the idea of kings lately and wanting to be a king himself. Especially because he knows that kings have gold, and Luke loves gold!

Grandpa Sheldon and Grandma Lori portraits

Last Sunday was cousin Livi's baby blessing. During sacrament meeting Luke decided to draw some pictures of people in the family as gifts. First he drew a picture of uncle Jake's new girlfriend for Jake, than a picture of Jake for his girlfriend, and folded them up and gave the pictures to them. They really liked them. So then he decided to do the same for Grandma and Grandpa. Here are the pictures. We thought they were so cute, and grandpa got a kick out of his hair :).

Awesome Grandma

Grandma Lori has been coming every day since I had the twins to help out! I don't know what I would do without her! She loves my kids so much and I am so grateful to have her help and have another person around that loves them so much that is able to help me take care of them. We are so blessed to have her!
