Date night with Mommy

Last night Luke and I went on a little date night. He chose Panda Express - his favorite. He also wanted to eat with chopsticks. He is really into everything Chinese right now since he's doing the Chinese immersion at school. He really likes it.

I love getting to spend one on one time with him. He's such a good boy and is just growing up so fast. Slow down my Lukey guy, you are getting too big! But it's fun as he gets older to have conversations with him and to see how much he is learning and how smart he is. He is so much fun. I love my boy! He will always be my baby!

Valentines Day

Valentines day was a couple weeks ago. It was a little crazy but a success. The kids woke up to hearts on the doors of their rooms with things written on them that we love about them. On the table were love gifts for the kids. Luke got a US coin collection map with holes to collect each state quarter. He loves collecting coins so I thought this would be a fun thing for him to do. He also got a magnifying glass.

Daddy made yummy waffles for breakfast. It was really nice weather so later on we went on our first walk with the babies and then that night we had our traditional candlelight dinner.. over take out Cafe Rio :). As we sat down to eat the babies started crying and were hungry...45 minutes later I finally sat down to eat and then Asher had a poopy diaper blowout! Things with two babies are never predictable but we wouldn't change a thing.

We love Luke so very much and are so grateful he's part of our family!

Ten year anniversary

Ten years ago today. TEN YEARS! It was a cold, sunny, beautiful, and perfect February day. Early this morning as Cory and I were each feeding a baby I asked if on our wedding day he ever would have thought ten years later we'd be sitting in our room totally exhausted feeding our newborn twin babies. Nope, I don't think that thought ever crossed either of our minds. But I love everything about where we are today! We have grown so much as individuals, a couple, and of course as a family. I'm so grateful everyday for Cory and our children. What wonderful blessings they are to us. I feel so lucky to call my sweet little family mine and I'm so grateful I get to spend forever with them. Happy Ten Year Annniversary to us!

Box tickets at the Jazz game

We've been getting to go to lots of Jazz games this year! Grandpa Sheldon gets tickets from work and we're lucky he shares them with us. Last night he invited us to go with them in a box. I told the kids how lucky they are, I'm 30 and I've never been in box seats at a jazz game and they are 5 and 7 and they already have! Luke actually went a couple weeks ago with Cory and grandpa and grandma and got to sit in box seats so this was actually his second time.

Luckily grandma Dixie is in town staying with us this week to help out with the twins so she was able to watch the babies so I could go too. There was lots of yummy food, drinks and ice cream! It was a fun night out with our older two kiddos!

Tiny bracelet

Luke made Avery a tiny loom bracelet. So cute! He just loves his baby sister. He's always saying how cute she is. The other day I reminded him that when we first found out that we were having twins he was hoping it would be two boys. I asked him if he's glad now that it was a girl and boy. With a big smile he said "yes!" It's cute to see how much these kids love their new baby brother and sister.

Play doh Yoda

Last week Luke made this Play Doh Yoda at grandma Lori's house. He came up with it all on his own. I thought it was very creative and clever!

Halle thought Yoda was neat so she decided to join in and make yoda's wife :). And...they are kissing :). The kids are at that stage where they get embarrassed by kissing and think it's gross and hilarious.
