Leaves are made for jumping!

Sunday my aunt and uncle Ron and Melodee had a Halloween family party at their house and we got the kids all dressed up in their Halloween costumes - Luke is Thomas and Halle is a flower. Luke is very proud of how he looks in his Thomas outfit which is great because for some reason after loving the outfit at the store he was terrified of putting it on when I brought it home. But luckily last week we made a breakthrough and he now will not only wear it but loves it.

Luke loves being outside and immediately zoned in on my aunt and uncle's backyard and the gigantic pile of leaves they had back there. I avoided taking him out because it was cold, but soon enough he got my mom to take him out. We went out to find him jumping and rolling around in the leaves, having an absolute ball. I'm glad my mom gave in and took him out, it doesn't get much cuter than this.

First Horse Ride

Last week Luke, Halle, Grandma Bagley, and me went to Thanksgiving Point. I've been wanting to take Luke there for awhile. He got to see all the animals and had his first Pony ride! I was worried that he might be scared, but he loved it! We even went back for him to have a second pony ride and he ended up not even needing me to hold onto him, what a big boy. A couple months ago or even a month ago I don't think I ever would have dared let go of him riding a horse, but lately he really has grown up a lot. It's fun to see him learn and grow and see what he'll do next, but at the same time it makes me sad to see him grow so fast! My little boy is not so little anymore.

Pumpkin Carving!

We are loving Halloween this year and it's so fun having Luke old enough to join in on the fun. We've made Halloween cookies, cutout ghosts, and carved pumpkins. I'm sure half of the time he's wondering what the heck we are doing with all these pumpkins and scary decorations hanging up, but he seems to enjoy it! One of his new words is "Ghooost". He says this as he points to our cutout ghosts hanging above the fireplace - there is one for each member of our family. Here are some pictures from our pumpkin carving this week. Luke enjoyed it so much we are going to have one more round of pumpkin carving this week!

Halle's Blessing Day

Last Sunday was Halle's blessing day. Luke was a good boy in church and played with Grandma and Grandpa Bagley. Afterwards we had our families including aunts and uncles and cousins come over to the house for some dinner. It was great weather outside so the kids had lots of fun playing in the yard and Luke loved running around and playing with the "big kids". He loves being around kids and seems so grown up playing like a big boy. He is growing up so fast - too fast.

A day in the life of Lukie...

Playing with toys... (notice the swinty-eyes smile he does when I ask him to smile these day :)
Talking on the phone with one of his grandmas (the grandmas do most the talking while Luke listens...hopefully it won't be too long till he learns that you are supposed to talk back on the phone!)
And a good dinner with plenty of mess for mommy to clean up! (Luke is drinking out of big boy cups and eating with his own spoon/fork!)
