Grandma Lori says...

When Lindsay came (Cory is out of town for work) Luke walked in proudly holding a gift bag for dad, immediately walked up to dad and started taking the stuff out of the bag one, by one to give to Dad. He was very proud because they gave dad 4th of July things like sparklers, poppers, etc. It is so funny to see the things kids do.

A few days ago Lindsay and Cory were here and Luke had a balloon. I don’t know if you saw the helium balloon canister that Dad bought, but every couple of times Luke comes he blows up a balloon for him. Well he blew one up and after a while Luke wanted to pop it. They usually let it go in the sky, but this time he thought it would be fun to pop. We were discussing if that was a good idea and Luke was holding the balloon tight when all the sudden it popped, right there in his face. Luke had about five or six emotions on his face within 10 or 15 seconds. He was startled, ecstatic, scared, surprised, happy, sad and his eyes started to water, but he couldn’t decide what he was feeling. We tried to make light of it and started clapping so he tried that, but that didn’t help. He just couldn’t figure out what he was feeling and it was so cute and funny to see him try and figure it out. He stayed a little upset so I suggested we let Halle’s balloon go in the sky and that diverted him and made him happy really quickly. Don’t think he will want to pop balloons again soon.
